Description
Fundulopanchax ndianus is a small, colourful killifish of the family Nothobranchiidae from the rainforests of West-Central Africa, in Cameroon and Nigeria. The species reaches about 6 cm; the males are handsomely coloured with red, blue and yellow tones, while the females are inconspicuous brown. It inhabits swamps and swampy parts of rainforest brooks. Unlike the annual killifishes this is not a seasonal fish. It is a bottom spawner: the eggs are laid on the bottom and have about a month's incubation. The diet consists of insects and small invertebrates.
