Thomas' catfish is a small catfish (Claroteidae) from fresh water of West Africa. The species grows to about 4 cm and has a stocky, scaleless body with a flattened head, barbels and an adipose fin. As a bottom-dweller it lives in streams and rivers and searches for insect larvae and small invertebrates. The fish is harmless to humans.
