Description
The silver flagtail is a perch-like fish from the Indo-Pacific. The species grows to about 13 cm and has a streamlined, silvery body and a forked tail. It schools in coastal, estuarine and fresh water, including river mouths, and hunts insects, small crustaceans and fish at night. It is a local food fish. The IUCN assesses the species as Least Concern (LC).
