The Magdalena creagrutus is a small characin bottom-fish (Characidae) from fresh water of the Magdalena basin in Colombia. The species grows to about 6 cm and has a stocky, silvery body with a dark longitudinal stripe and a spot on the tail base. As a bottom-oriented fish it lives in clear, flowing streams and rivers and eats small invertebrates, algae and detritus. The fish is harmless to humans.
