Description
The twospot sea bass is a small sea bass (Serranidae) from coastal waters of the western Atlantic, off the southeastern United States and the Caribbean. The species grows to about 15 cm and has a stocky, brownish body with a few dark blotches, including a pair on the back. As a bottom-oriented predator it lives around rocky reefs and wrecks and hunts small crustaceans, small fish and worms. It is a food fish. The fish is harmless to humans.
