Description

The Arched goby is a goby (Gobiidae) from shallow sand, reef and estuarine water of the Indo-West Pacific. The species has a slender, brownish with faint crossbars body with large eyes and fused pelvic fins forming a sucker. As a bottom-dweller it perches on sand, mud and reef bottoms and snaps at small crustaceans, worms and algae. The fish is harmless to humans.
