Description
The manyscale shy blenny is a labrisomid blenny (Labrisomidae) from shallow reef and rocky water of the western Atlantic and Caribbean. The species grows to about 5 cm and has a slender, elongate, brown-spotted body with cirri above the eyes and a long dorsal fin. As a shy bottom-dweller it shelters among coral rubble, sponges and crevices and snaps at small crustaceans and worms. The fish is harmless to humans.
