Description
The oblique-lined monocle bream is a monocle bream (Nemipteridae) from reef water of the Indo-West Pacific. The species grows to about 25 cm and has an elongate body with blue and yellow oblique lines over the head and flank and a pale belly. As a bottom-oriented fish it searches over sand and reef bottoms for small crustaceans, worms and small fish. The fish is harmless to humans.
