The Bluespot damsel is a damselfish (Pomacentridae) from the Indo-West Pacific. The species grows to about 9 cm. The brown body bears blue spots on the head. As a reef-dweller it lives around coral and rocky reefs and eats zooplankton and algae. The fish is harmless to humans.
