Description

The Metallic demoiselle is a damselfish (Pomacentridae) from the Indo-West Pacific. The species grows to about 6 cm. The body has a metallic blue sheen with yellowish rear fins. As a reef-dweller it lives in groups around coral and rocky reefs and eats zooplankton and algae. The fish is harmless to humans.
