Description
The Pinima rivulus is a small killifish (Rivulidae) from shallow pools, streams and swamps of inland Brazil in South America. The species grows to about 4 cm and has a slender body; the male is brightly coloured with blue, yellow and red spots and lines. As a bottom-oriented fish of calm, often temporary water it snaps at insects, larvae and small invertebrates. The fish is harmless to humans.
