Description
The spotted dragonet is a dragonet (Callionymidae) from the western Atlantic Ocean. The species is small and has a flattened head, a mottled brown body and skin flaps that camouflage it among vegetation. It inhabits shallow seagrass beds, where it lives close to the bottom. With its small mouth it picks small bottom invertebrates such as crustaceans and worms. The species is harmless to humans.
