Description

The clear damsel is a damselfish (Pomacentridae) from reef water of the western Pacific. The species grows to about 7 cm and has a deep, white to pale-grey body with a few broad black crossbars. As a territorial bottom-dweller it keeps to sand and coral-rubble bottoms near the reef and eats small zooplankton, algae and small invertebrates. The fish is harmless to humans.
